WebSep 27, 2014 · Posting just on the offchance someone might have an idea. I was installing an aftermarket heatsink on a couple year old old system and I managed to brick the computer. The PSU is fine (still jump starts), but with just the cpu power cable and the cpu in, nothing happens on pressing power/shorting the power pins (not even the fans spin up).
